My First Cub Camp

On Friday night we arrived at the campsite.  We had a quick game of football then we put the tents up.  We started to play with the nerve (vortex).  The next day we went grass sledging.  It was a little sledge with tracks.  It was great fun going down the hill really fast.  There were three sledges and two worked.  On Sunday morning we went to look for letters, all around camp it was meant to make a word, but it didn't.

The food at camp was quite tasty.  I enjoyed making the swaggie rolls and cooking them on the fire.  The chocolate apples were just lovely.  I enjoyed the noodles, as they were a surprise at camp!

On the Saturday night we all went to the big campfire, where all the people from the campsite met up to sing songs.  My favourite song was the "fee, fie, foe" song, it was great fun, but I have forgot the words.

My favourite part of the camp was the crate climbing, because it was very hard and challenging.  It was very scary when it wobbled and it seemed that you were up there for about half an hour but you were only up there for about ten minutes.  My second favourite part was the grass sledging, because we had the best sledge and the steepest bit of hill and we always got the furthest.  I was desperate to have a shot on the quads, it looked really great fun.
